When you send an enquiry through our contact form, chat with our assistant, or book a call, we collect what you choose to share — typically your name, email address, phone number, and a description of what you're looking for.

Demo conversations

Our site lets you chat with demo AI agents. The messages you type are processed to generate a reply. Please don't enter passwords, payment details, or other sensitive personal information into a demo — it isn't the place for it.

Information we collect automatically

Like most websites, our servers record basic technical details such as your IP address, browser type, and the pages you visit. We use this to keep the site running, protect it from abuse, and apply rate limits to the demos. We keep cookies to a minimum and use them only to make the site work; if you book a call, our scheduling provider may set its own cookies as part of its booking widget.

How we use information

• Respond to your enquiry and follow up about our services.
• Run the live demos and generate replies.
• Operate, secure, and improve the website.

Who we share it with

We don't sell your personal information. We rely on a small number of trusted service providers to run our site and services, and share only what they need to do their job:

• Hosting and infrastructure (DigitalOcean), where the site and our servers run.
• AI model providers (including DigitalOcean's inference service and Google) that process demo and chat messages to generate responses, under their own terms.
• Messaging and email tools (Telegram and our email provider) that deliver your enquiry to our team.
• Scheduling (Cal.com) if you book a call with us.

We may also disclose information if required by law or to protect our rights, our users, or the security of our services.

Where your information is processed

Some of these providers operate outside Hong Kong, including in the United States, so your information may be processed in other countries.

How long we keep it

We keep enquiry and contact information for as long as we need it to respond to you and provide our services, and then delete it when it's no longer needed.

Your choices

You can ask us to access, correct, or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop following up, by emailing info@smlab.ai.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect the information in our care. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

Children

Our site and services aren't directed at children, and we don't knowingly collect their information.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the date at the top of this page.
